f(x) (Korean: 에프엑스; pronounced /ˌɛf ˈɛks/) is a South Korean girl group formed by SM Entertainment in 2009. The name is a play on the mathematical notation for function, with "f" signifying "flower" and "x" representing the female's double X chromosome. The quintet consists of Victoria, Amber, Luna, Sulli, and Krystal

History

Early history and formation

Krystal was first spotted by SM Entertainment in 2000, which earned her a small role in a short segment of Shinhwa's "Wedding March" music video. Six years later, SM recruited Luna after seeing her performing on a television program. In September 2007, SM discovered Victoria. A month later, Amber was casted from an audition in Los Angeles, California.

While Krystal was the first member to make a media appearance, having appeared briefly in a Lotte commercial in 2002, Sulli was the first member to make a debut, officially debuting as a child actress in September 2005 as the role of young Princess Sun-hwa in the SBS television drama, The Ballad of Seodong. Krystal began training for f(x) in 2006 along with Sulli and Luna. Amber joined them in early 2008.

2009–present: Debut and collaborations

SM first released a teaser preview of the group via YouTube on August 24, 2009, introducing them as "Asia's Pop Dance Group." For five days, SM individually released information through news portals and posted pictures of each member on SM Town's official website, starting with Sulli on August 26. Taiwanese-American member Amber was revealed on August 27, Korean-American member Krystal on August 28, Luna on August 29, and lastly the other Chinese member Victoria (also the leader) on August 30.

The group's first single "La Cha Ta" (stylized as "LA chA TA") was digitally released on September 1, followed by a 40-second teaser of their music video uploaded to YouTube. Following their first performance at the Samseong-dong Fashion Center on September 2, the music video was screened and released online the next day. The group's first broadcast performance of "La Cha Ta" was held at MBC's music show Show! Music Core on September 5. The group also released the digital single "Chocolate Love" for the 4th edition of the Blacklabel series LG CYON phone, Chocolate, alongside their label mate Girls' Generation. The following month, f(x)'s first EP Chu~♡ was released, consisting of 3 songs. Later that year, Luna and Krystal contributed to the soundtrack of television series Invincible Lee Pyung Kang with a duet "Hard but Easy".

In 2010, the group appeared at the K-POP France show in January.The group collaborated with Chinese boy band M.I.C. for the song "Lollipop" to promote the LG Cyon phone. Krystal, Luna and Amber also recorded the song "Spread Its Wings" for the soundtrack of the KBS drama God of Study. Krystal and Luna recorded another song for the KBS drama Cinderella's Sister original soundtrack, called "Calling Out". On May 4, 2010, f(x) released their debut mini album Nu ABO, consisting of 6 tracks. Their song "Nu ABO" from the mini album topped online music portal charts Monkey3, Dosirak and Bugs.[citation needed] The promotions for Nu ABO ended early caused by Amber spraining her ankle. F(x) also endorse K-swiss. F(x) is now promoting their follow up track "Mr. Boogie" from their mini album "Nu ABO". They had their first performance for this song on July 17, on Music Core.[10]

Girls' Generation (Hangul: 소녀시대; Hanja: 少女時代) Chinese name Shao Nü Shi Dai, Japanese name ShōJo JiDai is a South Korean nine-member girl group formed by SM Entertainment in 2007. The members include (in order of official announcement) Yoona, Tiffany, Yuri, Hyoyeon, Sooyoung, Seohyun, Taeyeon (the leader), Jessica, and Sunny. International Girls' Generation fans usually refer to the group as SNSD, the acronym of the group's Korean name So Nyeo Shi Dae. Yuri joined the label when she took 1st place in the 2001 1st SM Youth Best Dancer Contest. Before Sooyoung's audition to Girls' Generation, she made a brief debut in Japan as a singer in the group called Route φ. She first debuted with Marina Takahashi with the song "Start". shakugan no shana (灼眼のシャナ)

Shakugan no Shana (灼眼のシャナ, lit. Burning-Eyed Shana), also known simply as Shana, is a series of Japanese light novels and related media works written by Japanese novelist Yashichiro Takahashi and illustrated by Noizi Ito centering around Yuji Sakai, an ordinary Japanese high school boy who inadvertently becomes involved in a perpetual war between forces of balance and imbalance in existence. In the process, he befriends the title character: a fighter for the balancing force, whom he takes to calling "Shana". The series incorporates science fiction, fantasy, and slice-of-life "school days" elements into its tale.

Shakugan no Shana began as a light novel series first serialized under the seinen label Dengeki BunkoMediaWorks with the first complete novel released on November 10, 2002 in Japan. In time, a manga series was created with art by Ayato Sasakura first serialized in the manga magazine Dengeki Daioh, in February 2005. Both the light novel and manga are currently being released in Japan. So far, there have been 23 light novels and five manga volumes. The most recent light novel, book XX, was released in Japan on April 10, 2010. A 24-episode anime series was adapted by J.C.Staff and it aired between October 2005 and March 2006. An original video animation episode and animated film were also produced in December 2006 and April 2007, respectively. A second anime series entitled Shakugan no Shana Second aired in Japan between October 2007 and March 2008.^[1][2] An original video animation (OVA) series entitled Shakugan no Shana S started to be released in October 2009. Viz Media announced at Comic-Con 2006 that they have licensed the right to release the English translations of both the Shakugan no Shana light novels and the manga series. Additionally, Geneon Entertainment and the first DVD was released on September 5, 2006. The DVDs were out of print indefinitely until July 3, 2008, as Geneon withdrew from the American market. On July 3, 2008, Geneon and Funimation Entertainment announced an agreement to distribute select titles in North America. While Geneon will still retain the license, Funimation will assume exclusive rights to the manufacturing, marketing, sales and distribution of select titles. Shakugan no Shana was one of several titles involved in the deal. At Anime Expo 2010, Funimation announced that they have licensed the second season of Shakugan no Shana along with the film and OVA series Shakugan no Shana S; all three will be released in 2011.

Nichkhun Horvejkul

known mononymously as Nichkhun (Hangul: 닉쿤) is a Thai singer but signed a contract with JYPE to work as a Korean singer, and debuted with 6 other boys in a band called 2PM.

Nichkhun, a Thai American, was born in Rancho Cucamonga, California to Thai and Chinese parents. His father is of Thai origin while his mother is a fourth generation Chinese Thai with ancestry from Hainan, China. Nichkhun has one older brother Nichan and two younger sisters, Yanin and Sherleen. At the age of two, he moved to Thailand with his family and studied at Dhepkanjana school and Tangpiroondham school. At the age of twelve, he studied in New Zealand for a year and a half and moved back to the United States to finish his schooling at Los Osos High School in Rancho Cucamonga, California. There, he was scouted by Park Jin-young, a K-pop singer and the producer of JYP Entertainment, at the Los Angeles Korean Music Festival. 

 After passing the audition hosted by JYP Entertainment, he signed a ten-year contract with the company but later resigned for an eight-year contract, not including training, and was brought to South Korea as a trainee, being put into a class of 24 other students. Park Jin-young informed him that he was required to learn Mandarin Chinese and Korean to also work out regularly and learn how to dance. First appeared through MNET's Hot Blood, a program that showed the intense physical training that 13 male trainees had to go through for the opportunity to debut in either 4-member ballad group 2AM or 7-member dance group 2PMJYP Entertainment

Before debuting as 2PM, he actually debut much early than everyone in 2PM, when he was selected as the member for 야심만만 (Yashim Man Man), a talk show, hosted by 강호동. Then he introduced himself as a "trainee from JYPE"

After 2PM's debut in 2008, Nichkhun became a popular choice for Thai endorsements, and was selected by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) as the face of their newest campaign, "Come to Thailand; Let's Take a Break!" Nichkhun has also done a wide variety of runway modeling, including for Pony , and Andre Kim's fashion show in 2008 with 2AM member Seulong. On January 7, 2010, photographs surfaced of Nichkhun and Taecyeon with actress Yoon Eunhye for Cass Beer, in which 2PM were chosen to endorse with special promotion single "Tik Tok". Nichkhun played a main character in the 12-minute music video drama, released on February 8, 2010

Nichkhun was originally planned to appear on We Got Married as Brown Eyed Girls member Ga-in's partner, but due to Jaebeom's MySpace controversy he was replaced at last minute by 2AM member Jo Kwon^{[citation needed]}. On March 4th, 2010, new rumors of his casting surfaced through several newsites, even naming T-ara member Eunjung as his partner. However, JYPE stated that they were forced to decline the offer due to schedule clashes^[8]. On February 26, 2010, it was announced that Nichkhun and 7 other male idols from 2PM, 2AM, MBLAQ and C.N.Blue would rotate as MCs for Mnet M!Countdown after it went off-air for 3 months.^[9] In December 2009, he had been confirmed to star in 2010 film "The Shining Diploma"^[10], but due to scheduling conflicts with the filming delays, he dropped out of the project in March.

In May 2010, he featured in a commercial for Everland's Caribbean Bay water theme park along with 2PM Taecyeon & Chansung and Girls' Generation members Yoona, Seohyun & Yuri.

On June 1, 2010, he was announced to be an additional cast member to We Got Married, pairing up with Victoria of f(x).

is a media franchise from the South Korean company Vooz Co., Ltd. and currently owned by The Walt Disney Company. The main character Pucca is the 10-year old (11 in Super Slam Birthday Bash) niece of three Chinese noodle house owners. The Noodle House is located in Sooga Village, a small village in the mountains. Pucca is in love with the 13-year-old ninja, "Garu" (가루 [kaɾu]). Pucca always seems to beat him in combat and unintentional competition, simply by sheer wit. The characters are quite popular in Europe and Asia, with TV animation in cartoon channels in Europe, Central and Latin America. These animations were compiled into a DVD, available in Germany. A UK children's book publisher (Hodder's) has also published a series of Pucca children's books. Pucca has also attained a small, but dedicated, cult following in the U.S. after its release on television through Disney and products featured in "Morning Glory" stationery stores across America, mainly in large malls. The UK also has pencil cases/tins, which have become quite popular, stationery items, and notebooks/diaries. In Israel, a Pucca-branded snack was launched on May, 2006. In Brazil, chocolate company Garoto released a Pucca licensed candy for Easter 2009.

There is also an ongoing manhwa series in Korea, which has been translated into Chinese, Spanish and German, of Pucca and Garu traveling around the world through an enchanted board game. Their fellow travelers include friends Abyo, Ching, Mio, Yani and Ssoso. Ching, Pucca's best friend, is in love with Garu's best friend Abyo. Pucca has a cat named Yani who likes to flirt with other cats, especially with Garu's cat Mio, but does not like any of them. Ching, Abyo, and Ssoso are all Kung Fu fighters, unlike Garu who practices ninjitsu. Abyo wants to learn ninjitsu like Garu to beat him in a sparring match and is not very good at Kung Fu.

Accuracy is described with a word displayed in the bottom right corner of the screen, ranging from "cool" to "worst". Seven royal families reign over each of the seven kingdoms, prospering inside the planet for many years. Twin princesses Fine and Rein receive a secret mission from Princess Grace to investigate the reason for the star's decline. Using the power of the Prominence, they hope to rescue the Ohisama no Megumi. An evil chancellor named Roman steals the Prominence for his own purposes. After he unleashes the ultimate enemy, evil begins to spread.

The evil power possesses Prince Bright. Under evil power, he attempts to rule the entire Fushigi-boshi. Fine and Rein, along with others, try to investigate and defeat the powers of evil that possessed Bright.

Futago Hime Gyu!

Fine and Rein, along with other princesses, leave Fushigi-boshi to attend the Royal Wonder Academy of Education. This prestigious institution is the school where Princes and Princesses from all of the planets come to receive their certification to become Kings and Queens. Upon arrival at the school, Fine and Rein's unprincess-like actions cause them to violate school regulations and lose points. During the orientation of first year students, the vice-principal presents a legendary bell that will only ring when a certain person touches it. If the bell rings, the person is classified to be the "Universal Princess". No princess had ever rung the bell before. But Fine and Rein rang it, and they transformed.

Strange situations have also been occurring in school. A dark entity comes out and forces everyone to become depressed. When someone resists, the dark entity sends monsters that cause extensive damage. One of the first people to become possessed under this entity was Toma, the new president of the student advisory.
